Bangabandhu Satellite-1 is Bangladesh's first geostationary communication and broadcast satellite. It launches on May 7 at the Kennedy Space Center. Through this, Bangladesh is added as the 5th country to launch its own satellite. This project was implemented by the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission under the Department of Posts and Telecommunications and was the first payload launch of the Falcon 1 Block 3 rocket.
